MAKE IT MINI #2

I am so excited that my new ART IMPRESSIONS-WELCOME LITTLE ONE MTF It is one of the new Mini Trifold designs.  I decided to make a mini tag.  I colored the crib with a gold Cricut pen.  I paper pieced the canopy using Paper studio paper.  I cut the layers using the dies in the stamp set.. The images are water colored with Marvy Markers.  I tied some Pure Love and Sweet Love ribbon from the DL.ART Shop.

MAKE IT MINI

Art Impressions are having a "Make it Mini" Challenge.  They have released 5 new mini Tri-fold sets.  I have ordered the darling baby one.  I hope to receive it in time to submit a project for my second entry in the challenge.  I made 2-3"X 3" cards using the Mini Front and Back Cat and Dog set.  These cards turned out so cute. I stamped the images on Canson Watercolor paper, then I colored them with a a brush and Marvy Markers.  I made a 3"X3" card base out of white Neena cardstock.  Then I added a solid layer using Spellbinder dies.  Then I cut a square of DCWV patterned paper (The Pets Stack) using a MCT Square Die  The circle dies are also My Creative Time.

DL.ART THANKFUL THURSDAY CHALLENGE #202-"APRIL SHOWERS"

Hello, there has been a lot of rain around and Diana has the perfect challenge-"April Showers."  The new Challenge over at http://dianamlarson.blogspot.com/ is April Showers.  Show us your project that features rain, umbrellas, puddles, faucet, tubs etc.  I immediately thought of a Baby shower card.  My friends daughter is expecting a little boy any day now.  I decided to make a shaker card-I thought the falling sequins looked like rain.  For this project I used Baby Blue from the baby bundle.  I also used blue and brown Basic Twine which I anchored with a beautiful gold floral button from the Elegant Button Collection..  Diana gives my readers a 10% discount just use the code K34510 at check out.
This project was quite a challenge-first attached the image upside down.  Then I tried to use tinsel inside the shaker and it stuck to the clear plastic.  I almost gave up.  I began by stamping the Joy Clair image on watercolor paper.  I paper pieced the umbrella, using Echo Park papers.  I watercolored the rest of cute picture.  I cut the frame for the shaker out of designer paper by Paper Studio, then 2 layers of fun foam.  I used My Creative Time Stitched Rectangle and Stitched Circle dies.  Then I mounted the shaker piece onto a piece of Echo Park Paper.  I added some pretty Baby Blue ribbon and bow made from brown and blue Basic Twine.
Hop on over to DL.ART for inspiration.  Of course you can always substitute a Thank You card.  I can not wait to see your projects.

BUNNY ON A CUP

The inspiration for this card came from a mug that was given to my by my friend Alda.  I began the project by cutting the cup out out with the Cricut Savory cartridge.  Then I decorated the cup with some Authentique Life Cards that I fussy cut.  Then I adhered the mug to some adorable Echo Park bunny paper.  I made the tea bag label with a MCT die and stamp.  I attached the teabag to the cup using DL.ART Basic Twine. I added a fun ruffle of Primrose ribbon by  DL.ART. Diana is sponsoring the Easter Challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut.

My dear friend Casey gave me this beautiful paper pieced art for my birthday. The piece is from Nicaragua, it is created with pieces of colored corn husks.  Casey wrote me a beautiful letter.  To thank my close friend for this amazingly thoughtful gift, I recreated the painting with bits of paper.
